This Week On My Reading List - Second Week of April 2016 READ NOW

With the success of my previous Weekly Reading List, I've decided to create a new post that will help me with my reading archives. Now, I want to focus on development oriented posts but according to my Pocket account that is not the case! This week could be a mix of news and programming articles. So, read with me and lets get started with some brain inducing euphoria of information.

1. Nvidia unveils first Pascal graphics card, the monstrous Tesla P100

The first full-fat GPU based on Nvidia's all-new Pascal architecture is here. And while the Tesla P100 is aimed at professionals and deep learning systems rather than consumers, if consumer Pascal GPUs are anything like it—and there's a very good chance they will be—gamers and enthusiasts alike are going to see a monumental boost in performance....

2. 5 Deadly Mistakes UX Designers Make (And How To Fix Them)

It’s for your audience. Every decision must be in their interest, not yours. You’re just the caretaker. Never forget that!...

Another design topic for inspiration here, if its not obvious yet I'm trying to improve my design skills.

3. Most Loved Programming Languages Of 2016 — Rust, Swift, F#, Scala, Go

There are some programming languages that are loved by many programmers due to their friendly qualities. For the second year in a row, Rust, Go, and Swift have found a top place in Stack Overflow’s list of most loved programming languages. On the other hand, Visual Basic, WordPress, Matlab, and Sharepoint are the most dreaded technologies...

Planning to learn a few more programming languages, or just dip into it for now.

4. Why Microsoft needed to make Windows run Linux software

Perhaps the biggest surprise to come from Microsoft's Build developer conference last week was the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).

A read through that I am looking forward to.

5. How to animate Freepik vectors Part #1 / Part #2

Gifs and motion graphic videos are a trending way to tell your stories. It goes a step ahead than static design and speaks for itself. Let us create a simple yet attractive little animation using vectors.

For a budding designer like me, this is a resource article that I can't pass up.

6. An exploration in Material Design

Google recently launched Android Lollipop which introduces some major changes and a new visual language called Material Design. With this new OS, Android is bringing a comprehensive guide for visual, motion, and interaction design across platforms and devices.

An old post - from February 2015 - but still golden, this is something I want to delve into since designs right now are being heavily influenced by Material Design.

So, here it is - my reading list. Some have their music playlist, but me? I have my own reading list (that for a very obvious reason piles up each and every time) come with me and lets enjoy some brain food.
